Protecting Your Freedom
There is a tendency by some people to condemn anything that they don't
personally believe in. Often times people go out of their way to "mind someone
else's business", forgetting that imposing their personal ideas of right and wrong
on other people is not what the USA was founded on.
The people who want to eliminate nudism
are usually judgmental,bigoted and angry, and frequently of a very conservative religious bent. They
believe in freedom, as long as you agree with their viewpoint. Of course, they
also profess that GOD is always on there side. Unless they have a direct line to
GOD, I doubt that.
Nudists are usually
fair-minded, friendly non-judgmental people whobelieve in live and let live. In all the years I have been visiting nudist events and
facilities, I have found fellow nudists to be kind, considerate of others and always
a positive influence. But nudist do have one fault, they often fail to watch their
politicians and non-elected government employees who have a hidden agenda
of eliminating your freedoms. It is important that each of us protect the freedom
of the nudist viewpoints.
It is equally important that we support other groups who are also
experiencing the elimination of their freedoms. I urge you to do your part and
remember the horrors of the Nazi’s as written by Rev. Martin Niemoeller, a German Lutheran pastor.
"In Germany, the Nazis first came for thecommunists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then
they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. The
they came for the trade unionist, but I didn't speak up because I wasn't a
trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn't speak up
because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there
was no one left to speak for me."
Rev. Niemoeller was arrested by theGestapo for opposing Hitler and sent to the Dachau death camp in 1938. He was
freed by Allied forces in 1945.
